Sooo here I am in the second week forum, that went quickly
I was poorly yesterday, really bad stomach cramps, that's why I wasn't around. I spent the day on the sofa being "nursed" by my five year old LOL
The cravings seem to be getting easier, it's more of a passing fancy now, but on past experience this is the time that I have to be focused, i've already had the " i can do this without the patches" thoughts, that was my downfall last time. So I'm sticking with them. I was also getting a bit worried that I was getting addicted to the nicotine lozengers, as on sunday/monday I always seemed to have one in my mouth, so i'm taking it easy with them.
I also got a lovely shiney new laptop, that I couldn't really afford, so i'm gonna use my quit money to pay for that.
My other half treated me to a lovely bottle of perfume, on sunday, for staying off the fags for a week, bless him.
Well I'm off to read some posts. Hope everyone is doing well

Hi Karen, sorry to hear about your stomache cramps hope they get better soon, your five year old should keep your mind off the cravings to a certain extent, last night was the first night my cravings weren't as intense as they have been but for some unknown reason I woke up this morning feeling depressed and miserable and choking for a tab, my mind seems to be all mixed up. Dicker.
Yes stick with the patches hun, that was my down fall too... thinking i could do without them and then before i knew was back up to 20 a day
Me like you will be sticking to the proper regime this time!!
Ooooo a new lappy, lucky you!! My eldest son wants one for xmas, wouldnt normally go that expensive on just one child, but now should have the extra cash to get him it.
Great to hear you have fantastic support from your other half, i wonder what he will get you this sunday????
That's fantastic Karen, well done. Hope you are feeling better today.
Enjoy your new tech, you've earned it.
Thanks chuck, i am enjoying it!

Thanks Dicker, i'm sorry to hear that you're suffering hun, my hardest time is teatime, between 5pm and 6pm, that's when i really gotta do something to take my mind off smoking. Are you much of a reader Dicker? like novels and stuff? i've been doing lots of reading (well I was before half term, now my kiddo is off school, she's keeping me busy!) getting into a good book can keep my mind off smoking completely, might be worth a try hun, also come on here more often, reading on here keeps me motivated.
Morning Karen,
Hope you are feeling better today.

Haha I read this post out loud to him and he was like "hmmm so i gotta reward you every week" LOL So here's hoping
Hey Karen , hope your feeling better today hun .
Ah bless your son sounds like a good wee man looking after you in your hour of need!
We have made it to day 9 and the cravings are getting more manageable already! We will be having this convo on the 1 yr thread before you know it!
Hooray to us!
See you treated yourself to a new laptop , don't worry about it a few months off smoking will cover that anyway.
Hey my quitting buddy Del! glad you are doing okay chuck, can't wait until we're in the 1 year forum! It's a little girl I have, well I have 2 girls, but the older one wouldn't nurse me (she's 17 and we clash.. nuff said!) sorry I haven't been much support this week. I've been out and about lots, as my little one hates being in the house when she's off school.
I had another carbon manoxide reading today, which was 2, not sure why it was 2, she said it'd be from the polution/car/bus fumes etc. 0-5 is that of a non smoker, so i'm not concerned but i was hoping it'd be zero
It'll be my last post in week 2 today. It's 2 weeks today since I stopped
I'm getting there, have had a few moments where I've really fancied one, and i've been feeling a bit flat and numb, when i miss smoking. But on the whole I'm getting there. Yesterday I barely had any cravings.
Del, where are you?!?! How's things going with you? Hope you did ok at the housewarming party on saturday?
