Well another night of crazy, yet quite entertaining dreams, a lot of waking up, tossing and turning and head flooding with anxious thoughts the minute i open my eyes. Not great but bearable.
So with day 2 done and dusted its the challenge of day 3. i have no choice but to venture out today, i cant hide at home like i did yesterday theres stuff i must do. Im thinking about getting some sweets ( i generally dont eat sweet things at all ) i read about someones grandfather using cough candy sweets to help him stop which i remember fondly as a boy so a bag of those to take my mind away from the fags might just help.
i have found that in the last 2 weeks since i started champix I have had little urge to smoke, apart from the last 2 days of complete non-smoking, and amazingly not felt like drinking?? i have always religiously had a few bottles of beer when i get home from work. sitting in the kitchen , me with my beers, my wife with her wine, smoking our heads off. we havent done that for the last few days and it really is amazing! you get stuff done, do different things, more productive and less self indulgent..........i like it
I feel how hard this is for me and for others, ive read all the threads and i have to say its exciting to think of the amount of benefits stopping smoking presents to us. its all more than worth it to stop, create a new me, start a new freash chapter in my life!!
I AM NEVER GOING TO SMOKE TOBACCO AGAIN..........EVER!!!

Yayyyy well done Mr and Mrs Fazzer ...now you are on day 3..your sense of smell will now be heightened ..you will smell a smoker on the other side of the street..Ughhhhhhhh nasty smell... and the longer you go the worse it smells..
You are both doing great...dont stress to much about losing sleep or obscure dreams...they seem to be mandatory lol..they will go away and you will sleep - oddly enough I had 2 good nights before sleep played up again... so your body will not let you turn into an insomniac lol ...it will give you sleep when you really need it, then it will go back into the healing process ... so just accept it part of the course .keep going, keep strong today out and about
Yes, my sense of smell has improved. I could smell my daughter eating sweets yesterday which was amazing. the downside is after all these years ive realised that our 15 year old Springer stinks
I am still in the house and havent gone to work yet........will i make it outside today??
