I am feeling quite tired lately and was wondering whether it was the champix. I do wake up a couple of times during the night at about the same time.
Anyone else experience this?

Hey There,
I have found it to be the opposite for me to be honest...I have found i'm not as tired.
Sorry that i couldnt help you...but stay strong, it is a great help
Steve
Well, I am Samartel's opposite - Champix did make me very tired, almost from day one. The reason was that the side effect of "vivid" dreams (which most people probably won't experience!) was so bad that I dared not go back to sleep and would sit up for the rest of the night.
However, that was when I was new to it. And I never took the full dose for long because of that. The half dose was fine for me, though! But if you are two or three months in them maybe it is something else?
Your body is adjusting to life without smoking, and while I'm not saying it isn't the Champix, bear in mind that it could be other stuff too. Ciggies contain all sorts of chemicals that probably don't do you a lot of good, and you are now lacking all of them!
That said, if you are really very tired for more than a few days, it would probably be a good idea to get it checked out!
Thanks to you both for your advice.
I have since read that the chemicals coming out of your body can make you tired. I do get the dreams but they don't bother me. I love sleeping at the moment but just feel tired in the mornings. Mind you, I am waking once or twice during the night so probably the reason which I think is the champix waking me up as I am told your sleep isn't so good. Oh well, almost finished the tablets now anyway so hopefully I will be a non smoker who sleeps well at night.
Champix made me extremely tired and drowsy. I would have slept all the time if I could. I know it was champix because I felt like that when I started taking it and was still smoking. After 2 weeks I cut down to half a tab during the day and that seemed to work a bit better for me. I had disturbed sleep at the beginning but not now. How long have you been taking it?
I am on my last pack now so after the next five days I will be weening myself off of them and only taking one tablet a day for the next 4 weeks. I am the same, could sleep all day. I go to bed early and still struggle to get up in the morning.
I will be glad to come off the tablets as starting to get too much now.
Yes I'm weaning myself off too, dropping to half a day soon. Strange how there is a starter pack but no finisher pack as they are strong drugs. Congratulations on your quit so far. Careful now you don't get too hyper lol
Well done to you too for doing so well. Luckily I was given a big pack for my last pack so I can stay on the one a day for a bit longer. I think I am over the craving part now and will successfully become a non smoker after the champix is out of my system. I do still find my brain wanting a cig though when I have been drinking. I guess that is just a habit I need to break. I haven't actually given in so that's a good thing.
Hi ive started champix on my second day and i feel no diffrent apart from wen i first take it i feel sick for 5 mins ??
Hi, I'm on day 9 and still smoking a few cigs a day. I'm getting more sleepy each day. Having a hard time staying awake during the day. I need to nap often. Wake up during the night. Do you think its the toxins coming out or the champix?
