Hang on in there Deano, It will pass!!!
I've some days like that too, you think once your past the first 3 the tought bit is over, truth is (for me anyway) there were tougher ones to follow, I felt like i think on day 5 or 6 too.
RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA - was the only way to really explain how i felt.
just keep as busy as you can, go for walk, make some cakes, decorate, go buy one of those big cheap canvasses and throw paint at it as an expression of how you feel today, have a bath, take a dump , play crappy games on the internet, hammer some nails into an old peice of wood, anything anything.
Just keep busy
You can do it and you WILL feel better for it tomorrow by making it through.
If you cave you will be back at Day 1 tomorrow and feel even worse than you feel at the mo
Hang in there
Kat
Hang in there deano...Do you think its cravings? or your desire to smoke? Or maybe both?
Cravings will go but if you keep the desire the desire will stay with you.
So you need to keep reading and learn that there is nothing to miss and that you was just a slave to nicotine.
I think with strong desire for something we get a horrible feeling that maybe we confuse it and think its craves. Same as when we used to get that fear feeling whenever we ran out of ciggys.....You might think its not inportant but i think finding the real reason why we really smoke and understand what it really is we are feeling could help us alot
Keep strong

Thanks for the reply I don't know if it's desire or craving I will think more about it. I wonder if I would be better trying champix !! I'm Just P*ssed off.
Deano seriously ask yourself "do I want to stop smoking?" It's you that makes that decision and yes it's one of the hardest things you'll ever do. But I can tell you the rewards far out weigh the pain of getting there. Remember how positive I was? it's not easy, it's a long road but you can do it if you make up your mind you really want to. Then nothing will get in you way, I wrote a post a long time ago

it might help.

Deano,
I'm on Champix, and don't get me wrong it has been brilliant for me when NRT and CT has always not been effective.
BUT, It is not a magic pill and the desire to smoke still comes to get me, the craving not so much because the champix switches that bit off, It's the habit / desire that still comes and goes.
We all have really tough days no matter what method we use and it is just a case of riding the storms when they come and not giving in.
Keep at it, you are doing brilliantly, and Champix does have some unpleasant side effects for most people too.
