Nice one, it's a great feeling isn't it? I feel like I've got spare in the tank now when I finish my run, plus I've managed to slow the pace of my breathing as I'm absorbing the oxygen much easier.

One thing I've noticed and don't think of me as odd, if I exhale all the air in my lungs, right down to that tiny bit at the end, I used to get a bit of a bubbly wheeze, now it's wheeze free, I love it.

Keep it up:)

Your definately not odd Goffins. As your lungs are damaged they can no longer push out the air properly that's why unltimately you end of struggling for breath as you cannot breathe in or out properly.

Way to go with your quit, running too? I am impressed ;)

Spare in the tank....

1 month today for me and just had a few games of squash. I lost almost every game, but never felt fitter. Doesn't it just feel great? :)

Well done to all...... stick with it

I amazed myself actually, my running partner 'does not' smoke yet was more out of breath than me!! It felt great to feel so much lighter on the chest and full of energy.

Loving it. Thanks again to all you wonderful supporters out there. xx

Day 15

Oh dear..... i have no idea why but i nearly reached for a fag last night even though i'd had a good day.

Today though was a better day apart from the headache. my oh is still on the inhalator and  smoking at night  which makes me feel stronger but i wish he'd stop too.

Day 18

Thanks guys, it is pretty  ouch indeed. I was quite brave having the 3 out but it's done now. I'm so glad i had the courage to quit but this op had alot to do with it.

When i was in hospital there was this older guy coughing his head off, he had one of those wet and mucusy chest coughs, 'urgh i thought to myself' his mouth must of been filling with blood because i know mine is non stop. (sorry) So he had to be a smoker poor bugger.

Anyway 18 days on, not one puff, no moments of weakness (anger yes) no regrets and feeling great. :D (well apart from the hamster face and pain lol)

Hope everyone is doing well. xx

Day 19

Still going strong, face is huge and puffy, very sore so last thing i'd want is a faggerette :p

I've noticed i 'was' being pretty understanding around other smokers but now i HATE it and just wish they would stop being so weak and just STOP IT. I love my oh but not the fag smell. I hate it.......
