I don't know why as I have coped fairly well for 10 weeks now, but today I hate everyone in my house.
Have shouted at hubby for no real reason and eaten a whole bag of maltesers!!

Quittings easy staying quit is hard
Tell me you never had days when you smoked that you didnt shout at Hubby didnt eat choccys and didnt feel completely fed up and at odds with world???
And of course having a ciggy made you smile and so happy like u had won the lottery I dont think so do you and smoking is a bit like having a baby 5 minutes after you have had the baby you have changed what things were really like.
So the answer is ditch the thought breathe easy for the rest of your life and for a laugh go on this sight do it once with smoking and the without ????
Let me know what you think
thanks
I know, you are right, I was just having a rubbish day and probably would have been rubbish whatever, smoker or not.
Thanks so much for taking the time to reply.
Hi there,
Hope you felt today in comparison? For some folk Month 3 is really up and down and from no where comes a train and knock the wind right out of you.
I had that a lot in Month 2 and Month 3 seemed easier.
Probably only some of this is to do with quitting, some the winter and some you'd have felt anyway.
We've not got that comfort blanket (the smokes) anymore to sit and celebrate with or sulk with, or just plain enjoy after a meal or whenever for whatever reason.
When a down mood passes by fags were what we'd reach for....... a bag of Maltesers wasn't too bad a replacement. I'd have enjoyed them
Hope today's been better anyway,
Pol
Search for 'Terrible Threes' and you'll find that plenty folk struggle around this time.... reading always helped me get through tough days. Go for a run, take a hot shower, anything to help you calm.... tomorrow will be better again and you'll still be a non-smoker.
I'm on week 11.
In the last week I've just walked out on my partner of 15 years, with my 3 year old son...deeply upsetting.
I'm 95% sure it's the right thing to do, but that 5% is still telling me I'm losing the plot.
As someone told me, not the best time to give up smoking.

Lousca I sorry to hear this and is it the best time to stop smoking? Is there a good time or a bad time I don't want you to answer this to us just to yourself. Would this have happened anyway even if you were not smoking.
One other thing if you come through this without smoking then you have passed one of the biggest tests you could. Well done so far.
Marjrie like Jamangie said would it have been a bad day anyway would you have fell out with the world the answer is probably yes. So now when these things happen you have to find another way of dealing with it other than smoking.
Maybe you could sit down, relax and breath deply and think would a cigarette have made it any different?
Marjrie, sorry for hijacking your thread, was feeling a bit messed up and emotional.:(
Hope your mood and emotions are happier today.
Thanks for the kind words though guys!
