Day 5 has arrived and day 6 is a blink away!

Thank you all for the support I have been recieving. I love getting patted on

the back and I can tell you it does help. I also enjoy reading threads from

people that are in their 3 months and on. That encourages me so much!

Anyways, day 5 is going good! I am not saying it's perfect, but it's bareable.

With the lozengers, it helps with the bad nicotine withdrawls but your mind is

still craving them. There have been times these past few days where I tell

myself out loud that I don't smoke anymore and that is something I use to do.

Believe it or not...it kinda does help. I guess I am trying to retrain my brain

into that thinking. Anyways...I am still pushin on! Thanks!;)

  • Well here is another pat on your back :) Yes I know what you mean, it helps so much to have this forum :) It really boosts you. I'm only at the end of Day 2 and still hoping to get to Day 5, you have done really well, you must be so proud of yourself. Keep going and it will be a week before you know it!!

You know, that's exactly what you should be doing...retraining the habits that have been ingrained from the extent of your smoking days. Each time you get past a crave and consciously are aware of denying that supposed need you are retraining those habits. :)

Welcome to the Forum. Day 2 is excellent and you are nearing the end of that. Don't just hope to get to day 5...make it a commitment that you will get there. Imagine the pride you'll have in doing that

  • Well done. One day at a time and it does get easier. Each time you crave a cigarette, deal with that, knowing it will pass. It does get easier. Hang on in there, and big pat on the back coming right now from London to Illinois!

Keep it going and if talking to yourself helps just carry on I did exactly the same some days even had a neighbour ask if I was OK once when I was outside

Instead of a pat on the back [might be getting sore] I'll give you a hug
