I am seriously considering nipping off to the shop to buy a pack of ciggies.
I've been on the patches for 2 1/2 months now and it's always bothered me about my weight (I've put on 2 stone!) and also the fact that I am still hooked on nicotine because of the patches.
How do I go about getting Champix? As I said, It really bothers me being hooked on "patches". Each day feels like the first day of stopping.

Hi Chiz - there is nothing to be ashamed of the way you are feeling at the moment. I am just about to enter 2 months and I slipped after my first week by smoking two cigs both of which tasted bloody awful. I am on patches and have reduced these to 10 mg and like you this past week has felt like the first day of stopping. However, after coming on here and getting the support I badly needed I feel a lot calmer.
Like you I worry about being addicted to the patches and inhalator but I have found that after each reduction a week or so later I can do without the inhalator. Hopefully after the course of 5 mg which I won't be going on for another month I will have been weened off them altogether. That is what I am working towards anyway.
Sorry if I seem to be rambling but what I am trying to say is we have all been the same at some point in our quit and we are all here for you and anyone else who is struggling and I wish you the best of luck in your quit.
