still goin - a few puffs on my w/e away but not pleasant and only 4 in 4 days (puffs not fags) 12 girls 8 smoked!!!!!! was ok unless pissed ( so only when i was awake!) but dont think ive failed just proved it hasnt got me in its grip any more.

I have been reading this forum for 40 days since I stopped smoking. I have been smoking what seems like most of my 52 years & the thought of life without cigarettes in it seemed inconveivable. I started on patches on 2nd January this year. I have had the odd "blip" when I either didn't inhale it - so it didn't count - or I didn't enjoy it - so that didn't count either! For some reason yesterday & so far today I am of the opinion that I will never smoke again. You have all helped more than you'll ever know at getting me through this dreadful experience & I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to you all. I can now look forward to meals out, hours waiting at airports & even the lengthy Harry Potters films at the cinema without spending most of the time thinking when can I have a cigarette.

Keep the good work & congratulations to you all for being smoke free.
