I am sorry for your loss janrad; no wonder your blood pressure is high and you are unable to sleep and my heart goes out to you. I am so glad that you are beginning to think of ways you can improve your lifestyle and sometimes after a bereavement, it's a bit like digging your way out from under a dark cloud. Be kind to yourself and the very best of luck x

Good morning janrad 😊 I see you have had a warm welcome to the Weight Loss forum. And can see that we're a friendly bunch! 😊

Can I suggest you take a look at the Pinned Posts section, to the right of your screen (bottom, if you're using a mobile) and have a look at the Welcome Newbies thread.😊 there is lots of info here, and links to the nhs12 week plan and also for checking your BMR and target calories 😊 it's important to eat enough so you don't get hungry or feel deprived 😊

I am sorry to hear you have recently lost your Mum. This is such a difficult thing to get through, and like Kalahuchi says, it can be like living under a permanent black cloud 😕 Maybe the NHS12 week plan will be a small thing to focus on and provide a distraction. And you will feel healthier. If you are worried about you blood pressure then I really think you need to visit your GP or practice nurse.

If you wish to then please join us for the Monday Group weigh-in. If you follow Lowcal and Moreless (our very approachable site Admins), you'll be notified when they post the threads. The latest weigh-in thread can always be found in the Events section, to the right of the home page. 😊

I also like to be active on the forum, as that's where we exchange ideas and get our daily dose of motivation and inspiration.😊 It's also a very useful distraction when you feel like nibbling😊

Have a good day, good luck and best wishes 😊
