Is 69 weeks a normal waiting time to see a neurosurgeon for the first time?
I was recently diagnosed with a 1.7cm meningioma in my frontal lobe (an incidental find after a suspected stroke) I’ve had 2 CT scans & an MRI scan at my local hospital & have been referred to
neurosurgery
at a bigger hospital nearby.

How to get more information about neurosurgeons?
I appreciate that all
neurosurgery
is risky and that journalistic reports won't necessarily be objective, but the reports have scared me and I'm in the process of trying to find more information about the neurosurgeon and the hospital dept..

If it's any reassurance, you should know that I've decided not to return to general
neurosurgery
for the time being to give all my time and energy to the MRgFUS project, I'll see how long I can afford it. Kindest regards Marc Gallay Eric

Advice on eyes and neck please
We are London based and fall under the care of her local hospital, as well as The National Hospital for Neurology and
Neurosurgery
, where we had an appointment yesterday. Mum’s neck is now extremely rigid and her chin practically rests on her chest, making everything even more difficult for her.

Good evening all, I would just first like to introduce myself to you all, as I have only just joined this group and I am very lucky to have a space like this to come and speak my mind.
Also, apologies for the long message, if you'd rather skip to the point I'll leave a bold asterisk next to it

My DBS (Deep Brain Stimulation) opinions and experiences
Last falI had been incredibly impressed by the moderator of the DBS Facebook page in his responses, and I thought If I can be as well-spoken as he is 25 years after I’ve had DBS like he is, so I decided to proceed with the surgery. The surgery did not go well. The surgeon nicked an artery in my brain
