I think the headline should be that early use of levodopa does not increase the likelihood of dyskinesia. I don't think anyone expects early use of levodopa to slow progression.

Moreover this is a very important result. This is the first interventional study that I know of that tested the question of whether levodopa usage accelerates arrival of dyskinesia.

Doesn’t the medical community already know this though? Seems like wasted research money and time.
