I think the headline should be that early use of levodopa does not increase the likelihood of dyskinesia. I don't think anyone expects early use of levodopa to slow progression.

Moreover this is a very important result. This is the first interventional study that I know of that tested the question of whether levodopa usage accelerates arrival of dyskinesia.

When I was diagnosed I was told that the earlier I began use, the more it would slow the PD.... and that it was safe like a good natural health supplement : -(

It was a Doctor I had through Kaiser. She left Kaiser about six months later Or she would be hearing from me! Somehow I try to think that that she thought the medicine would be good for me and unfortunately was willing to say anything to get me to use it.
