remember how I was short of breath a few weeks ago, went to the ER, sent home on oxygen and told it was a cold.
I spent four days on oxygen, then coughed like crazy for two weeks, staring the muscle under my ribs and throwing out a few ribs as well.
then silly me, thinking it’s just a cold and I feel better now, returned to normal activities. Bad idea. Really bad idea.
Thursday I started having trouble breathing again, saw a doctor and did two breathing treatments, got a steroid inhaler and antibiotics. By about 4:30 in the morning it was a severe asthma attack and I ended up in the er again. This time a CT of my lung showed pneumonia. So I got to spent about 28 hours in the hospital. Did about 8 breathing treatments, a round of IV steroids, iv antibiotics and who knows what else.
I’m home now. Want to bet the first round was pneumonia too!

I am sorry for all you went through.. I had me first pneumonia when I was just 16.... My parents actually gave me my first cigarette when I was 14. We were sitting outside, summer evening. and while mosquitoes never bothered them. I was getting eaten alive, so the gave me a cigarette to smoke.. I didn't get hooked then. but a few years later, I did. Smoked for many years, except while I was pregnant. My Husband and quit in the late 1980's. Hard to do, but we are so glad we did. He got to where he could run full 26.2 Marathons & I could ride my bicycle 65-100 Organized bicycle rides. Including riding down the coast of California in 6 days with my Christian Cycling group. now with MS. My world has changed. Prayers for you to be be feeling better very soon.
Pleased to hear that you are on the mend, with the right antibiotics you will soon be as good as new, keep smiling, and how is your son doing? Blessings Jimeka 🤗
Thanks. Started feeling much better by the end of today. But just realized I’ve provably pulled a rib again. Oops!! Three a few out after the coughing fits the first time dealing with this.
My don is doing great. Going to school for welding and has a part time job. Thanks for asking!!
