The picture's fuzzy, because I was inside, but we'd just had a whiteout so bad that I couldn't see the house next to me. The roads are staying clear, but the snow's still falling. I'm ready for flowers!

I think the groundhog lied

i agree ,i am also ready for all of the beautiful flowers ..we still have lots of snow in our back yard for it doesn't get much sun ..
I saw life starting to come out of plants! I hope it doesn’t die!!
spring will be here before we know it. hang in there! stay warm
As any gardener will tell you, groundhogs, despite their cute roly-poly appearance, are devious creatures, able to wait until the whole row of lettuce, or cabbage, or turnip tops are ready to harvest...then, like a thief in the night, dig under the fence and make off with the whole row (thus their rotund aspect). They are also not truthful. If they see their shadow, six more weeks 'till spring; if they don't see their shadow, six more weeks of winter (or perhaps the other way around, the sneaky rodents!) Like all politicians, they are careful to forecast what we want to hear. Pardon my cynicism, but yesterday was briefly sunny, almost shirtsleeve weather, then the wind came up and it is 27 this morning. Like you, dear friend, I am SO ready for spring.
the picture is really beautiful, but I too am ready for spring! The snow crocus are up, but luckily the daffodils are getting ready to start going to town!
I know I am so over it !!! Not much snow here in Cleveland Ohio but the CCCCOOOOLLLDDD temps
Punxsutawny Phil and Gen Beauregard Lee both said 6 more weeks of winter weather. Yesterday it was almost 70° and this morning 39° in Atlanta.
A lot of the snow has melted here in Nova Scotia and it is supposed to go to 54F on Thursday for 4 days. Still so many birds at our feeders. That helps me get through winter! 💕
