Finished 2nd round of antibiotics for uti

The first round of antibiotics didn't work so I called for a refill of my antibiotic and my dr called in Cipro which I was VERY surprised about as I have not heard about that drug since the big problem with Anthrax years back.

Seems that anytime I get any kind of infection (sinus or uti) I need a 2nd round of antibiotics which never used to happen.

Oh YIKES! Jessie,😱😵😬 My Care-Giver's precious mother was placed on Cipro by his evil-narsisstic/Psycho/Sociopthic sister & it literally poisoned her to death!😫😩😥 So, be very care-ful of that med.

With Serious,, dangerous side-effects

Dementia & Alzheimer's are numero Uno #1, I cannot believe your PC put you on that one with M.on.Ster! It literally causes us more tremors, more pains in joints, massive hallucinations, worse urinary probs. Personally, I think it's a fake anti-biotic with nothing but poisons, to murder us off slowly😈👿😡😱 Just a Fore-Warning & a pre-caution for you, as I care for ya & your well-being...

Tumeric, ginger, & cinnamon mixed in good H20 is way better, also with some Yoghurt probiotics, we also need a pre-biotic as well, there's new Pre-biotic nut milks out there now, really help.👍🙏❤💚💜💙💗Prayers & Love Ya!---Jazzy🌹💜

Thanks, Jazzy! I finished the antibiotic and am feeling better but I know there are some side effects that are bad. I have the print out from the pharmacy at my computer for reference. I just think that the infection I had was pretty bad and that is why my dr prescribed it.

OK. Here's my 2 cents worth. 15 - 20 years ago I was put on Cipro for recurrent UTI's by my Uro, and also to take 1 pill after sex, to stop frequent UTI's. Worked well for many years until I became immune to it a couple of years back. About the same time as I began with Cipro, I began having horrible, chronic insomnia, which I have battled for many years. (Had no idea it might be coming from the Cipro.) Then, a couple of years ago came the intense burning feet - like walking on hot sand or concrete, with no let up, unless I cooled them off with a wet towel or cold compress. (Still, no thought about Cipro). I also have peripheral neuropathy, which is not necessarily caused by MS. Very recently I found a new book at my library The Hidden Dangers of Antibiotics by J. S. Cohen, MD. In this book he wrote that both of the above side effects are frequent with use of Cipro, (and the other fluroroquinolone drugs), and many, many others that us uninformed takers of those drugs, have had to suffer. He, himself, had some even worse side effects from it, which he had to fight with his own Drs. for them to understand what he was going through. Earlier on, perhaps the Drs. did not know of these side effects, but now surely they should. Since I had become immune to the Cipro, I have seen another URO, and she put me on Cefpodoxime for the same use, and it is working fine. After about a year now, being on that drug, my insomnia has finally let up, and I am sleeping fairly well, taking only Unisom (Doxalamine) and melatonin, and without having to take Ambien or Temazepam to sleep. I no longer have the hot burning feet. I have said several times on this blog, for everyone to check all the side effects to the drugs you are taking, because any one of them could be causing issues like the burning feet.

Everyone - Be Aware. These drugs we take are chemicals. They can do harm to our bodies. Sorry to promote fear, but our lives have enough issues with MS, to not add to them with something that can make us feel worse, when there are many alternatives available. Cipro has a different way of action than other antibiotics, and no one should ever take it if there is another alternative. According to this Dr. some people have had symptoms caused by Cipro which have not gone away after many years.

Now you know the "rest of my story." I hope it helps you all to be aware of this danger. Please read this book. (I read it 3 times!) It will be credible information for you to discuss with your Dr. anytime you need an antibiotic for anything! God's blessings to you all this day!
