So i can home after surgery. It seemed to be going well until 2nd day after surgery. Nurse came to the house and said - "get her to the hospital now". My oxygen was down to 51%. Went to ER in town and then transferred to hospital in Longview where i spent a week regretting ever putting myself under the knife. They said i had pneumonia in one lung and infection in the other and i now have stage 1 heart disease. ππ

After math of surgery
~Hugs ~ Midgey_Midge06 how are you doing now? Are you back home?
J π
I am home now. But i still have JP drains in and i have to be on oxygen 24/7.
The best part tho is how much u realize the people around u that love you and are there for you. My fiance and my sister where there for me. Without them it wuda been way worse
Midgey_Midge06 oh I don't know what to say. After all this time and you finally get the surgery you wanted. How has it happened? You must have had signs of pneumonia when you had the op for it to come on so suddenly. I hope and pray that the antibiotics click in and that you are well on the way to being well again. Big hug, blessings Jimekaπ¦ π π€ π π
Thank you! Ya i have no idea how i ended up getting so bad so fast. They pumped so many IV antibiotics thru my system and diuretics ..... it was insane. Now i just want it to be over. I want the drains out be on my way to healing.
Knock on wood - MS is at bay and playing nice
Midgey_Midge06 So sorry you are having to go through this. I have at least 2 elective surgeries that I need, but I'm afraid to get... afraid of how my MS will react...afraid of catching something will on these immunosuppresant drugs, etc. etc.
Hope you are feeling better soon.
Midgey_Midge06 , Oh, dear, and you were so looking forward to your surgery! Sending good thoughts your way and remember DEGU - "Don't Ever give Up"!
I just don't understand and can't comprehend all you have gone through from the very start, Midgey_Midge06 . I am so sorry π. All this time I thought you were resting and recovering. πI'm happy to hear you are home now and have those you love and who love you there to help. You will continue to be in my prayers. π
51?!!!! Oh no, I'm so sorry!! I hope you heal quickly. π
Midgey_Midge06 , I'm so sorry to hear of the complications. We never get guarantees about surgeries, but we always assume things will go smoothly. I pray you have a speedy recovery and feel better very quickly.
Oh my goodness I hope you are getting better good thing you had a component nurse that come to see you. I will say prayers for you.

Gentle hugs,

Midgey_Midge06 please know we are all thinking of you and wishing you well. I don't know what the surgery was for but as you get your other problems under control, was the surgery successful at least? Or is it a case of wait and see?
The surgery was successful. It was a breast reduction. It was hampering my ability to balance myself. But i still have these jp drains in along w having to be on oxygen that has me stressed past my breaking point
Midgey_Midge06 I understand the need for the breast reduction surgery and am glad at least that part of things went well. But the complications you have had are cruel to say the least. I hope you will recover soon, and can get rid of those nasty tubes.
Thankful to hear you are home and you have support around you.
Midget you are truly loved! So sad to hear what happened to you. Remember we are all warriors in this forum, and you can overcome this and be better for it . ππ
Midgey, Oh my, you sure must feel better than what you did...You reminded me what we actually do live thru. These bodies are miracles waiting to happen again and again.Im sorry to hear about the heart but I will say that it was good to find out even this way.I had a quad bypass a year ago with no symptoms so since they caught it they can hopefully prevent that.Sure is scary it all seems!I'm very sorry for suffering and it is hard to deal with mentally as well. They don't tell you that part about pondering. This group is a great one for knowledge and hope!
