And my PPSV23, I would have waited a few weeks, but my town is dumb.. and won't get vaccinated... Enough of that... Anyway.... πŸ˜‚πŸ€£ I also had the nurse that had to triple check that I don't take steroids πŸ˜” and waited an hour for the meds... So I just didn't careπŸ˜‚πŸ€£ Cause I knew there was no way she was going to let me go early!πŸ˜”πŸ™ƒπŸ˜‚πŸ€£

Those that have been on Ocrevus for a few years, do you still have to stay an hour? Or do you get to go a little early? What do you think about it? Just curious... πŸ€—πŸ’•πŸŒ

still have to wait for they say they have to for to make sure you don't have any reactions ....not shorter either like they say they can make it ...i guess they are worried but i would rather be safe than leave early ...that is my way for i do have a kind of long drive home so i wonder if maybe that is why they make me wait...i don't know ...take care and be safe....

Yes, I still have to wait an hour after my infusion and I've been getting infusions since "O" first became available. What we have done is make my bi annual consultation to follow the infusion. Yea there's still some waiting, but at least it is somewhat fruitful.

can't remember what they said so i guess i should ask again and i will have more time to shop...ahhahahha especially now with winter it gets dark so much earlier ...i am always home before dark unless something that has happened that made me late for it is hard to see at night for we don't have all the lights along the way home for they don't want all the lights to keep us from seeing the stars ...can't remember what it is called ,i just say they want to be able to see the stars for if there is lots of city lights you can't see the beauty of the stars it is as if you could touch them they are so close for our altitude is so high...they are very beautiful...just wish i could figure them out for i can't see them so good like they show on paper .....take care and enjoy the life we all have no matter what is going on around us ....be safe .....loves to all ....

Hi Jesmcd2, yes, post dose all the patients need to stay in at least an hour and be observed. This is for a safety reasons and in case of unexpected derious reaction which might occure easily they would be in real trouble. It's unpredictable... so safety comes first. How do you feel anyway? Do you get any sore throat, headache, migrene, muscle pain?? How fast was your drip?2hrs?

Hi Redken007 I received the 2hr drip.. and I usually feel achy for a cpl days after. I take Flexeril if it gets to bad. Thank you for asking! How long have you been on Ocrevus? Do you get symptoms?πŸ€—πŸ’•πŸŒ

Hi Jes! I’ve going on 5 years on Ocrevus. My last 2 infusions have been the rapid method which makes the infusion part go much quicker but I still wait after the infusion to insure there isn’t an a reaction. I think they are only having me wait 30 minutes though. Overall, if the pharmacy mixes the Ocrevus right after it’s ordered, (which isn’t always the case), I’m out in about 4 hours total compared to over 6 before.

It wasn’t my decision 🀣 My insurance doesn’t want to pay more for it, so we do home care. Maybe you can ask your MD if they have anyone getting O at home! I think it costs me $5.

I take the pre-meds at home of Claritin and Pepcid three days before day of & two days after. Do not take any pre-meds at the infusion center except for the steroids I have the quicker infusion but I do still have to wait an hour afterwards. I will be starting a five month rotation instead of six months beginning with the next infusion. What is PPSV 23?

Hi Jesmcd2, I have had six infusions of Ocrevus and I still have to wait an extra hour to make sure everything is ok before I leave. My total time at the hospital is six to seven hours.

I have been on it since 2016 and they keep me for some amount of time after the infusion but I don't pay attention for how long. I need time for the Benadryl to wear off so I can drive home so am never in a hurry to get out. I did get the shorter infusion last time.

It took 45 minutes the second time I went

I have been on Ocrevius for years and go to Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center. They made me wait after the first two initial doses and then after that I don’t have to wait any longer. This is since I’ve never had any symptoms or side effects.
