Hello! I haven’t posted anything yet but wanted to share my vaccine experience.
I had my Tysabri infusion on the 24th and my stomach was feeling a little cranky. Thought it was just a food thing until Thursday rolled around and I didn’t feel any better so I figured I had the flu. I didn’t want to take a chance on putting my appointment off because my daughter in law is due in May with my first grandchild!
The side effects I had were nausea, headache, brain fog, not being able to sleep for more than an hour at a time (even though I was exhausted) and but worst was the alternating bouts of the chills and sweating. My stomach still isn’t quite right but I have dropped 6 lbs! (Trying to look at the bright side!) I’m getting tired of being on the ‘toast diet’ but I had my first cup of coffee since Moderna so at least my tummy’s improving. I’m due for my second shot on April 23rd and who knows what that will bring.
My husband just got his appointment for April 1st and it will be interesting to see how that effects him.

Hi and welcome. Sorry you have had such a rough ride with your Moderna shot, hopefully your second shot will be a breeze. Thank you for sharing your experience. You have something to look forward to, a new grandchild, enjoy. Blessings Jimeka 😊
Thank you. Look forward to meeting my granddaughter. It’s going to be nice to have another Y in the family as I have two sons and both of my dogs were male!
My husband had a heart attack that they call the ‘widow maker’ 4 years ago. Even though his heart is back to normal it’s hard not to worry about someone after they’ve coded. He’s getting the Pfizer vaccine.
I have been on Tysabri for 3 years. I have had no additional leasions and have had no issues with it. My eating habits have not change. I do have some balance and strength issues
I am scheduled for Sat, April 3rd to get my first one. Not sure as this is a vaccine clinic so it depends on what they have at the time. I'm thankful to be able to get a shot. My Dr's office is signing people up for their vaccines so I called yesterday and she signed me right up I will post an update after I have the vaccine.
Maybe the Tysabri and vaccine e shot were too close together. Sounds like you had some side effects from the Moderna vaccine. Are you feeling better now?
I don’t think so because I’ve never had an adverse reaction to Tysabri. I just think that I was unlucky enough to have had stomach flu and gung-ho enough to want to get the shot done with. And yes — thankfully I am feeling better.
