It took forever but I finally got an appointment for my first Ocrevus infusion! Sept. 10 at 9:30 am. I had to jump through hoops to get approvals from insurance, then finding a way to pay for the balance insurance doesn't pay. Ocrevus is picking up the balance. Once the Dr's office told me I was approved and then Ocrevus called me & said I was approved, I also verified that with my insurance. I have been burned by them before so I got it all in writing this time. So I am set to go! Those of you that have already had infusions of Ocrevus is there anything you can tell me ahead of time that might be helpful?

Finally got my appoint for Ocrevus Infusion!
Congratulations, hope it goes well, blessings Jimeka 🦋
Congrats 🎉🎊🎈 Hope it goes great 👍🙏🐾. Ken
hairbrain4 , if you do a search, you’ll find several posts talking about first time experiences with Ocrevus. We are all different and there are different reactions to the pre-meds and to Ocrevus itself.
Be sure to be hydrated before you get there. That makes any infusion a little easier. I’m a coffee person and always bring coffee with me. I bring my IPad so I can read and access the internet. (There is free WiFi where I go.)
The only real negative for me is a headache after each infusion so far. But Excedrin for migraine knocks it out.
Good luck!
I'm so happy for you! Let us know how it goes!
Glad the approval went thru. I will be waiting to hear how well your experience goes 👍 after all, my first infusion is 4 days after yours 😉
P.S. I’m bringing an audio book and self healing hypnosis meditations by Dr Emmett Miller and a blanket and I will hydrate like Raingrrl recommended and hope my chair is near the bathroom 🤪
Yahoo! Bring a drink and snack you like, music or movies, and a hopeful excited attitude!
Congrats!Take a snack, nurses provided water/drinks but for myself IV makes my bladder go crazy, I stayed hydrated but several trips to restroom.but we all are different. My nurse told me if I felt anything different to tell her she said it was her job to think.so when I said I think I feel a sorethroat, she said I told you its my job to think, she said it so nice, and another shot of steroids it was gone within 2 min. good luck not a bad experience at all
So excited for you! After my 1st infusion I went out and bought, extension cords to charge my phone and ear buds so that I could watch movies on my tablet. Hydrate a bunch before the day (Green Tea ice tea, is my favorite). The amount of Benadryl that I was given prior to infusion, made me SO sleepy - driving home was sketchy. Snacks! Definitely good to have - where I had it done they brought lunch, but snacks on hand were a blessing. Congrats and good luck!
Hairbrain4, congratulations on getting your ocrevus infusion scheduled! Let us know how it goes and it will be here before you know it! Fancy.
