Update on my last post from yesterday

I went to see my pcp today I have a throat infection I will be on antibiotics for 10 days. The visit to the doctor was a mess I was told that I had to call my insurance today to change my pcp provider because their computer showed that a nurse practitioner that is no longer there was my pcp. I call my insurance and get put on hold for over 25 minutes while in the waiting room to try to fix that only to be told that I had to leave a message and someone would call me back on their next business day or I could call back tomorrow. I am at a point I am ready to scream or something. I was going to just go home cause I am feeling really bad and then the staff at the doctors office called someone to see what can be done so I can be seen. This was supposed to be a 10am appointment and 45 minutes later I was still waiting. They fill out some form had me sign it and I was finally seen they sent a prescription to my pharmacy and I finally got back home at 11:45. I don't know how this happened but I am going to call my insurance company tomorrow and find out. Sorry for the rant. I will let you know how things go. You all are great.

Oh my, what a carry on. It’s bad enough having the sore throat without the hassle with the insurance company. I hope that you get a good nights rest and the insurance company phones you back in the morning with good news. Blessings Jimeka 🤗

Try and chill as you know how much the ms likes it when we get stressed, put a movie on or listen to relaxing music. 👍

I know I should not of tried to do anything about it yesterday but I couldn't pay for the doctors visit and my doctor wants payment right away not later

I found an absolute miracle tea for the many times my throat hurts. It is so tasty, I actually drink it very often just to enjoy. I get it at good old Walmart or the grocery store. It is called Throat Coat. One of my daughters found out about it and now all 8 of my kids and 18 grandkids love it! Might help. It is in bags, about $4 a box and is so yummy I might just go make some! Hope you feel better. Love, Kelly

Thank you I will look for it at my Walmart. They don't always carry some things. 5 live in a rural town so we have to leave town to get somethings

The thing I am wondering is how she got put as pcp I didn't do it and my insurance card has the clinic as my pcp. Going to call them today

I hate health insurance companies. It's so hard to find out anything and they tend not to be very helpful. I hope the meds they prescribed help you. I wonder if your bad throat is related to all the new meds you just took???

Insurance companies are the worst. I hope that the antibiotics work and no other treatment needed. Not sure if it's associated with the mavenclad. Thank you

I hope you're feeling better. Sorry for the trouble you have been through. I wonder if you will find out if the Mavenclad caused the infection or if it stemmed from another source. Thanks again for the excellent updates. I hope this works for you!

Thank you. I don't think that they will know if it was the mavenclad. I have been trying to be helpful with my posts. And it is helping me more than I thought by doing this. You're welcome

that was nice for the doctors office to call the insurance ..sometimes that is all it takes to get there attention ...so hopefully you will get to feeling better soon ..at least it wasn't a reaction to the new meds...relax and get some sleep ...

I am more relaxed now that the insurance stuff is fixed. Also I am comfortable with you and everyone here supporting me
