Hi All, lost the plot again because of hospital stay and info coming at me from all sides. Is Jakafi actually a chemo treatment for my PV diagnosis?
TIA for your insights.
Hope you’re all doing well.

Jakafi is not chemo. It is in the class of JAK Inhibitors.
Thank you Hunterh5582 for getting back too me. Keep well!
Hope you feel less overwhelmed now, and hopefully out of hospital
Thank you. I’m indeed out of hospital but not quite out of the woods yet. 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼
Glad to hear you’re out of hospital. Give yourself time to go through all the “data” coming at you and try to relax. Remember it’s a marathon, not a sprint.
And we are all here to try to pick us up when we falter.

😊😊 thank you for your encouraging words
I am om Jakavi, for Primary Myelofibrosis, i was told it is a targeted chemotherapy drug, and ive been taking it for a year now. I am classed as immuno supressed due to taking it.
That’s interesting but maybe it ass also to do with your MPN …. I’ve got PV but a friend here has myelofibrosis but we’ve not got round to our respective meds …
Thank you for your input. Be well.
