B6 is unique among the B's in its potential neuro hazard at high levels. It usually reverts upon quitting but not always and it can take months. Only certain pts are prone to accumulating it as I did, I don't know any predictors.
I just got a latest test and it's finally normal. I can now say with near certainty that it was the low dose melatonin I was taking. I suggest anyone taking this sleep aid or any other supplement to check the bottle and other info for B6. It is often in melatonin at high dosage. ~1.5mg of melatonin had over 300% RDA vit B6 in it. Some supps can be well over 1000%, for example the hi potency B mixes.
Of course too little B6 is also a problem, but it's added to so many foods and supps that being low should be unlikely. Either way I suggest getting this uncommon blood test along with the more common B12 if experiencing neuropathies.

See my update reply, it's possible to OD on it even at low doses. My neuropathy at that time was also in the feet/legs, distinct from the vax reaction which was upper body.
The case study also was initially just in the leg areas: "He initially reported numbness in the bilateral lower extremity". Maybe this is a way B6 OD presents.
I found a case study that matches my experience. A modest dose of B6 can lead to an OD of its effects, and paradoxically, the effect is equivalent to a deficiency of the active form "Pyridoxal 5'-phosphate (PLP)".
the pt " reported taking a daily multivitamin containing (only) 6 mg of vitamin B6...This case of toxicity in the setting of a daily intake lower than the ...newly established Tolerable Upper Intake Level.."
"there are clear inter-individual differences in the metabolism of PN (pyridoxine, which is in the vitamin pill ), predisposing some to be sensitive to toxicity"
".. the inactive PN can build up when taken in high doses and competitively inhibit the active PLP, causing peripheral neuropathy."
Taking very high levels is a more common way to get there, where the same paradox can apply. Some less scrupulous functional or integrative med docs make a living selling megadoses of oral and IV supplements. I encountered one.
