A really important announcement was make this week claiming the benefits of taking hypertension (blood pressure) medicine last thing at night.
It doesn't seem to have been given a huge amount of press coverage, but results of a test on 19,000 people over 4 years showed a remarkable lessening in stroke and cardiovascular issues (47%) when these drugs are taken before going to sleep. Tbh it didnt claim to have any effect on blood pressure levels as such, but it's the stroke danger which was lessened that was significant.
So often those of us with MPNs also have high/low blood pressure problems, and stroke is a significant risk, so check this out. Google it to get the full story.

Take mine of a night time, works well for me especially as taking Hydroxycarbamide and the rest of my tablets first thing in the morning, one less to think about.
Three weeks ago, I started to take my blood pressure pills last thing because of 1) poor results and 2) unpleasant side effects. Immediately began to feel better then the trial results came out confirming the benefits of the timing being so relevant. Let me know how your Google search goes.
I read the article in the Daily Mail newspaper a few weeks ago regarding when to take certain tablets to get good results, another being Omeprazole they suggested for best results to take at six o’clock in the evening, so when going to bed it helps with any acid reflux.
I have been taking my Blood pressure tablet in the evening for many years now, and my blood pressure readings are all really good.
