I don't post on here often but have now been diagnosed with VAIN2. I am currently being treated with hydroxycarbamide & low dose aspirin for JAK2 positive MPN (high platelets but treatment is currently keeping these within normal range). My gynaecologist wants me to start on imiquimod rather than any more invasive treatment but I'm reluctant as can find only 1 case study which suggests the combination if this plus Hydroxy/MPN could result in cytopenia. Does anyone have any experience of using imiquimod while on Hydroxy?

hi Devilgirl, probably a good idea to involve your haematologist in this for advice, perhaps you could ask your gynaecologist to contact your haematologist as well to make sure it is ok for you to have Imiquimod. Best wishes, Maz
Thanks Mazcd I asked the gynaecologist to contact my haematologist when I saw her a fortnight ago. Hopefully they will have discussed the treatment options before my nxt appointment later this week.I'm not looking for any medical opinion here just asking if anyone in the group has any personal experience of using the combination.
