Any thoughts on this ?

Are you getting the bivalent vax? This covers the current Omicron Covid. If you've not had this type before it is well worth doing.
unless you’re allergic to something in the vaccine I can’t think of a single reason not to get it. COVID is still a real problem.
Not that his will make any difference to you, but I'm 76 years old, have PV and have had covid twice (probably different variations). I opted for early treatment rather than vaccination, and that early treatment plus my own God-given immune system got rid of the virus easily. No fever, no difficulty breathing either time. And no vaccine side effects!
Sounds like a smart move! There’s a lot of Covid around right now. I managed to get Covid before I had the chance to get my 6th jab (which I’ve now had). And while I got away with a relatively mild dose of the lurgey, and was given the anti virals which got it out my system fast, I’m not keen to repeat the experience.
Hindsight is a wonderful thing but actually at the time I recall it was quite scary not knowing what the outcome might be.
Happy to take whatever proven preventative measures are offered to keep me as well as possible, protect those around me and stay as far as possible away from an already overworked health system.
I’ve had 5 Covid vaccinations and was to have my 6th but my last 2 vaccinations I was really ill feeling terrible unable to get out of bed for 5 days having the shakes, vomiting, sweats having the Moderna and the AstraZeneca jabs so I decided not to have my 6th vaccination. And as luck will have it, I went on a cruise to Norway on my return had Covid. I was ill but not as bad as having the Covid vaccinations. It did impact on my blood levels red blood cells in the 80’s and my platelets going below 50 for the first time luckily they have recovered slightly red blood cells over 90 and platelets over 50. After talking with my haematologist I have started on Epo injections to see if this will help with my red blood cells levels. What I found is that everyone is slightly different best thing is to get advice from your medical team, though for me they advised me to have the vaccine but understood my reservations.
Sorry I know it doesn’t help much but it has to be your call. Best wishes
Many thanks for your replies will go ahead we never had any serious side effects before.
