I have ET CALR which is just being managed with Aspirin. After seeing the letter from Prof Harrison, I contacted my surgery about having the COVID vaccine and received an appointment only a couple of days later so all was good with that 😊.
The reason for this post is that my daughter who is 17 with no underlying health issues has just been invited to have her jab. The only reason I can think she has been offered the vaccine is because I have an MPN (my husband is extremely fit and healthy and has had his first jab).
Has anyone else had members of the family being invited early for their vaccines? Does anyone know if this is this something that is being done for the families of all blood cancer patients?

Thanks all, I was a bit surprised and my daughter was dismayed because she hates injections! That makes sense though so she’s having it done for me 😊. Hope your kids get their appointments soon Ebot...
Not had my 2nd jab yet, going tomorrow, my surgery would not give me the vaccine any sooner, nor would they give my son who is at risk re medication the jab until they received a letter from his consultant then relented. I am dismayed by the whole experience received from my gp.
