I am trying to find information about best timing for the autumn Covid booster and flu vaccinations in UK? I booked both online through NHS site with no problem ll, but at different pharmacies and with a 3 day interval. As my son living elsewhere in UK has been contacted by his surgery to have both at the same time I have just spoken to both pharmacies and received confusing advice! The first (Covid booked) say only doing that alone atm 's flu not around yet' but then doing both together or flu alone in 2 weeks' time. I was told it was necessary to have the 2 week interval if not having both together because of the way the vaccines work ? I then phoned the pharmacy booked for flu jab who said only doing that atm,had no idea when or if they would be doing the Covid booster but was important to get the flu done! Has anyone any more information at allnon this? I shall try surgery later on (if I can get through) but no doubt their advice may muddy the water even more......

Autumn vaccinations
Every NHS Board or Trust will have their own system for delivery of covid and flu vaccine. I know in my area both are being offered together but not by GP Practices but at vaccine centre. I expect flu can and will be provided at GP Practices for those not getting covid vac.
Beat checking with your local health board/trust who will be managing the role out for correct information for your area.
Hi my GP surgery are doing both together I’ve got mine booked for the 24th September at my doctors surgery. I’m not looking forward to having them as the last 3 covid19 vaccinations have made me feel really ill. Best wishes Claire
Thanks for replying. I enquired at surgery and local pharmacy where flu jab booked already - surgery no idea yet when they will be getting flu vaccine but expecting to be end Sept onwards perhaps. Boots not doing Covid booster this time round. Both vaguely assuming there will be a walk-in clinic locally some time........
If it is of help to you, I remember one doctor saying to me that if you get a reaction it means the thing is working! Unfortunately so far I have had nothing more than a painful muscle with Pfizer and Moderna, so not sure if I get much benefit. But have avoided it so far, so
🤞
I’ve had an invite from the local pharmacy for flu but not for covid. I’m not looking forward to the covid jab either. Some of the jabs have given me a worse reaction than covid illness itself 🥴.
