Hello all, just a quick question. I have finally managed to get an appointment for 4th Covid Vaccination through letter from Haematologist to GP who’s admin booked me into a Pharmacy. I went today only to find they’ve run out of Pfizer which I really wanted as last 3 have been. I was offered Moderna but as they hope to get a delivery of Pfizer by the weekend, after much deliberation I decided to wait till then. I would like to hear from anyone who has mixed Pfizer and Moderna and who had Moderna for 4th Vac if they had worse, or any side effects than previous vaccinations. Thank you everyone. Best wishes, Fran

Another question are: 4th Covid Vac.
The Moderna will have at least 50mcg dose if it's the same as the 3rd dosing, while the Pfizer will be 30mcg. So you will get a larger dose with Moderna. But there is not much info on the significance of that for the 4th dose.
As with all our meds complex individual diffs may matter more than effects of the larger dose.
I had 2 astra zeneca, then a Pfizer and my booster was a moderna so have had all available. This seems to be the same for everyone in my area (south wales)
Hi Fran,
Like it appears for a lot of people in the UK, I had A-Z for my first 2 vaccs., Pfizer for my 3rd primary vacc. and Moderna for my booster/4th in early January. Other than slight chills the day after I had no other side effects. Absolutely no sore arm this time but that's probably due more to the skill of the vaccinator.
