Hyperfocus, overwhelm and anxiety

I am struggling badly with this unholy trinity. I've tried working for 10-15 minutes bursts, taking breaks, going for walks, looking at my work from a different angle etc. but when I return to it I keep going down the same path. Sometimes my head is whirling with ideas which I cannot untangle. ( I've made a basic written plan to follow) At other times, I focus so intently on a sentence or a word that my vision blurs and I forget the passing of time. When I return to the work I find that what I have written makes no sense and I am stuck in a loop of starting and restarting. Has anyone experienced this? This has become a pattern for me when report writing.

try writing points and then trying the sentence around it but sounds like depression or burnout and you may need holiday or days off until you feel yourself again
