I have felt my PTSD symptoms flaring out of control, but I am trying my best to keep it inside where I don't express them aloud (for fear of offending others). But, I am so on-edge! Even family members breathing is triggering to me, and driving is like hell on earth... How do I handle this? I am journaling, reading, praying... but it just keeps festering...

I'm really sorry you're going through this. It’s great that you're journaling, reading, and praying, those are all positive coping methods. But when it feels like it’s getting overwhelming, it might help to talk to a therapist who can provide some additional strategies to manage the PTSD triggers. Breathing exercises or grounding techniques could also be worth trying when you're feeling triggered. You're doing the right thing by trying to handle it, but remember, it’s okay to ask for help too.
