NAMI friend and health situation

I joined a local NAMI chapter. I have made a friend from there who I met virtually and in person. I have to complain that this friend is always complaining about her free medical insurance and its services. They over treat her and fill up her days with doctor visits, and therapy visits. She has been hospitalized over 10 times in a psychiatric hospital in the past years. I have been out with her--went shopping with her downtown at a street fair, ate at various restaurants with her. She has also visited me at my work a few times. She is also accommodated by her father who drives her since she takes a lot of medication which interferes with her driving. She has held down part time work and she's also a NAMI facilitator. I am bothered by how she wants to have better healthcare and she can't get it...she says all the doctors care about is if she's taking all these medications, which by the way, don't work for her...and don't ultimately cure her schizophrenia, bipolar...etc. She has numerous diagnoses and multiple medications she takes. I am tired of her complaining to me of feeling abused by the medical system. They support their over-diagonsises and over treatment but they don't support her in working or going back to college. So she can't achieve these goals despite being young and wanting a life that's not riddled with medical attention. These doctors/therapists would recommend and force her into outpatient programs and other treatments but she doesn't like them and she says she's not treated with respect or dignity. Her father and mother take care of her but she complains to them too of this poor relationship she has with the medical establishment. When I hear her complain when she calls or texts me, I can only see that she is complaining about abuse...and she can't stick up for herself and just say no to all of it. Any suggestions or comments on this situation?
