Downward Spiral

Over the seven or eight months, I've had one problem after another in my life, and I admittedly made a bigger deal out of some of them than was necessary. This led to extreme nonstop anxiety and a bout of severe depression.

I think I've finally snapped out of the anxiety and depression (although I don't feel as good as I did a year ago), but now I'm having terrible physical symptoms such as chronic dizziness and light headed ness, which will not go away.

The doctors didn't find anything unusual on the MRI, and none of them seem willing to actually help me. Meanwhile. I'm growing increasingly desperate as this is severely affecting my quality of life. I'm concerned that my brain has undergone some chemical change due to months of anxiety/depression.

Has anyone here suffered dizziness due to anxiety/depression and been unable to shake it off in remission? Will this go away with time?

Hi there. I can sympathize with you as anxiety also causes me to have physical symptoms. When I had my first bout with it I developed tinnitus (ringing in ears) which never completely went away, but would subside when I’m feeling better and come back when anxiety would ramp up. I also get some other vertigo symptoms during an anxiety bout, they never fully leave but diminish greatly especially during warmer months. Been to many doctors last few years and tests come back normal.

The brain is extremely complicated, I’m pretty sure I get psychogenic pain, could be similar with your symptoms. All the best to you.
