Medication

I’m on liquid fluoxetine(prozac) for a few things. But I’ve upped my dosage recently since it was no longer working. Every time I take it, it burns my throat. Has anyone got any advice or reasoning?

Have you tried pills instead? Why is it liquid?

I was originally on the pills but I realised they had non-vegan ingredients in them and I’m vegan. I know some people don’t agree with that though but that’s just how I feel🤷‍♀️. But thank you🙂!

That’s a legit reason 🙂 maybe eat with food? Without food? Try different things, good luck

Have you talked to your Doctor regards this drug and an increase, Are there reasons you do not take it in tablet or capsule form

I normally take a small glass of milk with medications in the evening and I use oats in milk for breakfast. A glass of water also helps on occasions

Yes I’ve spoken to my doctor. I know some people don’t agree with this reasoning, but I don’t take the capsule form because it has non-vegan ingredients in it and I’m vegan. I have a milk-alternative so I’ll try that. Thank you🙂!

If it is a capsule that may be a problem as the skin can be made of gelatine from the tendons etc You do what needs be. Have you tried Soy Milk or Almond milk to wash down medication.

I use milk when my tablets are large like my Vit D, OAP tablets
