I’m new to this process. Has anyone tested positive for corona virus and been struggling with panic attacks or health anxiety? I’ve been having regular heavy heart beats and headaches for 2 weeks now after I tested positive for Covid-19. I’m sure it’s my health anxiety kicking in but wondering if anyone else is having it?

Are you at home, How old are you ? Did you have all the tests and are you beginning now to get better, I understand some of the problems you mention do cover the virus.
However if your Anxiety is causing problems have you any medications to calm your mood
I have very little knowledge regards Covid so you need to discuss how you feel with the Doctor who is treating you.
I am a Pensioner, now seventy years old and I went through two different tests two weeks ago and was clear. Do yo feel additional tests may put your mind at rest. How is your breathing
I’m 36 years old, I went for a test 2 weeks ago today and got a positive result on the Tuesday evening. My breathing has been fine as I only got mild symptoms I.e loss of smell/taste and fatigue.
I’ve now had another test which has come back as negative. But over the last few days before my negative result I started to have heavy heart beats / panic attacks. I’ve looked this up to confirm it is anxiety. I’m just wandering if anyone else has had it. I do suffer from health anxiety so I just think this whole situation has set it off again.
I haven’t spoken to a doctor yet but I’ll get in touch on Tuesday.
Hello, There are two tests available. In layman's terms a) to test if you have an active coivid 19 infection. That involves swabs of nose and throat ... rather uncomfortable. b) A blood test to establish if you hve created anti bodies through exposure to the virus. That involves taking a blood sample from you, just as if the doctor was testing you for diabetes. A positive test a) will have resulted in a response (hopefully swift) from the testing authority. Certainly instructions to quarantine and avoid any close contact with any other people. A positive test b) will end the matter as far as the medical authority is concerned. You have been exposed, your body has reacted, you have evidential anti bodies, apart from that you are well. In some ways that is good news! Unfortunately having the antibodies does not mean you can ignore future risk. There is no reliable evidence yet available on the possibility of re infection, nor is there evidence that a first time 'mild' response will protect you from a second time 'strong' and debilitating response. So, may I suggest that the panic attacks while totally understandable, may just be that. A bit of panic due to unfounded fears. That voice in your head that is telling you that really bad things might happen. The trouble with that voice is that s/he frequently lies and deceives you. ( Check out 'left brain interlopers' ).
If you have now proved negative, you need to trust your recent results.
All I can advise is you now need to move on. The problem is I understand a fair number of test can give an false result, this seems to be the case here.
However you can get this virus although uncommon again, it seems you have confirmed however negative results for a second time. Move on you are just pushing yourself and worrying to much, you need to move on. Your Anxiety is not doing you any favours so try and relax. Have you tried MINDFULNESS Relaxation Technique you can purchase books on Amazon. Breathing Techniques can also help with attacks of Anxiety.
