Hi Jamesh77,

May I assume that you have a been given a mental health diagnosis by your doctor or mental health practitioner? If not, then I would suggest that you have a chat with him/her, as you may well be struggling with one of the classic symptoms of OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder). You need to get both medication and targetted psychological therapies to help you deal with this disorder. Intrusive thoughts (obsessions) come in many forms and can be overwhelming and cause unhelpful behaviours (compulsions) to negate or minimize their impact. Take a look at this information:

Mind UK - OCD: mind.org.uk/information-sup...

OCD-UK:ocduk.org/ocd/obsessions/

Hope this helps. If you don't live in the UK, they Google search for OCD specific organisations in your country that could help you.

Best wishes,

MAS Nurse and Moderator

Try taking up new interests, courses, activities that make you think of something else. There are Recovery College courses with mental health team and something you could look into

Hi james lately I’ve read foods and certain supplements can help with depression? But please consult with your doctor.. first.

Ashwaganda, turmeric, blueberries, cherries, maganisum, camomile tea, green teas, can make a difference? Let me know

So sorry your feeling this way.. i reccomend certain foods and teas. Victims too. Magnesium, ashwaganda, omega 3 supplements, tumeric, green tea, strawberries, blueberries,

I found that when I am feeling like this exercise helps a lot. It is difficult to think about anything when you're exercising. Hope this helps. :)

Thanks I feel like it’s constant even when I do exercise

Sorry to hear that exercising doesn’t help. Maybe try taking up a new hobby something that you are passionate about - like singing, painting or coding - find out what works for you.
