Well how long you been on it? If you have only just started, then it may not be a problem.

Most people build up a tolerance to the sedation of it. I think it took me about a week to get used to it. That said, I still oversleep on the stuff...

Give it more time. I'm fairly sure it will improve. Your body just needs to get used to it.

I don't believe a doctor is likely to prescribe anything else to deal with it, even as a short term measure.

I was diagnosed 15 mgs and found the same so cut mine in half. They do a good job and I don't feel drowsy in the morning. x

hi, I take mirtazapine started on 15mg and now up to 30mg which is supposed to be less sedating

what time do you take your mirtazapine. I have heard the lower the dose the more sedating and the lower dose is used for people with insomnia.

I found in the first two weeks of taking I felt really tired and had to force myself to get out of bed, I did force myself to get out of bed and after a shower and a couple of coffee's I did feel a little bit better.

because you have only just started taking this medication, give it time for your body to adjust. if your not happy contact your gp and discuss it with them. take care xx

I had to stop taking Mirtazepine as it made me sweat profusely all night and gave me horrific nightmares.
