I can forgive but I can't forget - I have nightmares. I wish for myself to be forgiven but I haven't done that much wrong, just neglect in the past

Ty. I'm working through things in therapy right now. Still stuck on a few things.

Have to clear out the pain before I can think of forgiving.

Recovering son, I think your words shared are very touching. I have read a few of your posts, and hope that you have been able to forgive those that have harmed you in the past but more importantly that you have been able to forgive yourself.

Forgiveness can be easy, I find forgetting more difficult, and of course events in our lives impact on our behaviours, and changing these can be really challenging, I suppose its a case of baby steps, one day at a time.

Anyway, I shall look out for your posts into the future.
