I’m nervous because even tho I feel better I don’t feel well enough to stop completely. She’s can’t extend our sessions as she’s on placement so if I was to get more sessions it’s gonna b a new therapist

This is tough. I know my therapy is coming to an end soon and it makes me nervous, too. I think this is a natural feeling. Make sure you talk to your therapist about it.

If it has to/is, I would use every minute left that you can getting the most of how to cope given all the tools you were given. What to do in your specific situations that make you feel the worst. Ask about any other options that may help you get more sessions with this person you've been working with....it really doesn't make sense to start with someone new unless you haven't been progressing. Finally, try to focus on the progress you've made if you're out of solutions for staying with the therapist you have had. It's normal to feel nervous when the metaphorical training wheels coming are coming off and we're let go to try our best in the present circumstances. It's a leap of faith, but perhaps they can give you some last tips, some self-confident affirmations, and anything that might make you feel less nervous about this. I am sorry this is occurring, but hopefully either you'll be able to retain this therapist somehow someway or you'll find that you have more in your toolbox to work with than you realize. I hope you're able to find some good vibes for the nervousness and will be hoping for the best for you. Take care for now.

The problem with therapy, patients eventually need to follow directions given over the course period, we have to attend to our worries and concerns, in certain ways you get on and approach your concerns and move on.

Therapy after time can become counter productive they can only go so far. We are all like a bird, the parent, therapist, eventually has to let you fly, find your own food and know where to get water etc, you are that chick and the therapist the Mother bird.

We are all here to give you crumbs of encouragement and assist in moving on. Life is hard as I have found out. Trust yourself and move on. You have the tools, use them and fly to a new future
