I spoke to my dad and gave him a tiny description of how I’m feeling and he said he was either going to speak to my mum or get me sectioned.

Is this even possible? I don’t want to be taken anywhere against my will but I don’t want my mum to know either... 😕 help

hi if your 18 then I doubt it would be possible maybe he doesn't understand speaking with your mum isn't a bad thing hopefully she would offer more support.

Well it's not easy to section someone in the UK without a very good reason so I doubt he will be able to do that. It's not a good response from your father though so I would think twice before telling him anything again. You are 18 so legally an adult so only talk to those you trust. x

My only question would be what did you tell him? You don't have to share, that's not what I'm asking. You may not feel comfortable with that.

Did you give any indication that you may cause harm to yourself? If so, Mayb he is afraid?

Do you have a therapist?

Not what you're looking for?
