Hello Tony, I have been living alone for 2 year after my divorce and I was diagnosed bipolar too. The best way for my is have a very organized schedule, focus on my work and hobbies, go for a walk when I’m anxious and see happy movies when I’m depressed. (Is hard sometimes but you get used to it)
I understand how you feel, I have a son too but he’s now a teenager, he want to be with his friend and spend less and less time with me. I think based on my experience that happiness can’t depend upon the children or anybody.
