Try not to be a victim

Last I heard an actress talk about her career. Which has gone from strength to strength. The she was asked about her childhood, she explained that she has been in care most of her childhood and acting was her saviour. She decided not to be a victim.

Talking and writing about mental health issues is the best way.

Being around animals gives so much joy

Writing/journaling has been my path; there was a time I felt victimized until I understood the power of grieving and more importantly mourning the tragedies I had experienced.

Then I began studying how our thoughts and trauma impacted the body and realized the cost of harbouring bitterness, anger and resentments was detrimental to my mental and physiological health - I sought counselling, lots of it and progressively have improved ...still improving.

Many sufferers I have known in the past have had Pets, generally dogs.

When I was in the Mental Health Centre I was one of the first to take a dog in, this was discussed by my CPN and Centre. The dog sat on my knee and everyone made a fuss of Him. Eventually quite a few members had dogs and would bring them in on a daily basis.

Pets never question our actions or question the actions we take. They are better than some medications we stuff down our throats.

Some people are must more questioning and not as understanding. Whatever your mental condition you suffer from pets are a wonderful AD
