Why does my sister put me down?

Every time I talk about trying new things, she brings me down. For example, I mentioned I wanted to be a tour guide for my school campus and she immediately said I wouldn't be good at it. I also mentioned I wanted to go into this specific job for my major and she said there's no way I could do that. There have been other moments, and she has also done this to our brother. These comments used to get to me but I've learned to let them go. I guess I'm trying to understand why she does this.

This person is having some issues of her own, possibly about her confidence, jealousy and insecurity if witnessing something you achieve. A very toxic person.

You cannot change how life is lived or viewed by another person.
