Emotions

I am not sure if this is common amongst men, I suspect it is, but I really have difficulty acknowledging and processing emotions.

Monday I fly to The Phillipines. I will be undertaking philanthropic work with the poor of Manila including children who live on rubbish dumps trying to live by salvaging anything of value, are charity who helps women who are domestic violence victims establish their own small businesses and also working with some great friends who go into juvenile detention facilities to teach trades.

It’s impossible not to be effected by what you see and intervene in. I am determined to not shun or deny emotions on this trip but to try and embrace them.

I think that would be a healthy thing to do.
