This banner, the one right at the top of the page, defiantly gives a feeling of being directed towards children. Am I missing something ? It makes me uncomfortable addressing serious and personal issues when children are involved. Maybe someone will enlighten me. Pam

NEW BANNER
Pam
Cannot see your Banner.
I went to Uni and trained to be a Part Time Youth Leader/Instructor/ Community Worker, it was an interesting interlude three evenings a week, sometimes a Saturday Afternoon/Early Evening. It was very rewarding also sometimes they used to make me scratch my head and rest my head in my hands. I had about eight years of it, then I had other concerns.
I started at eighteen taking children for road safety on their push bikes at school, they used to connect it to the Tufty Club in those days. The problem with that when I was eighteen or so I was only several years older than the kids. Eventually I qualified Part Time for above at twenty one. So in a way I was involved with various things above for about 9/10 years. Very rewarding although I was also looking after the School Evening Classes as well in a loose sort of way. The problem was we used to dry out and that was it

There is nothing wrong with the banner, It's quite nice actually. I think it implies the forum is for younger people.. It could be I am turning into a curmudgeon . Pam
Yes I can see exactly what you mean sweetiepye and I agree.
What on earth is going on?
This banner is inappropriate to the intentions of the site.
Hope they change it ASAP. Gemma

All I can say is that Everything changes and nothing stays the same .. Older people tend to be forgotten about I find to concentrate on the younger generation
