Hi mid aged cool Classic Rock,New Wave,Prog Rock fan ,anything but Hip Hop and todays auto tuned rubbish.Had a very hard life with much abandonment, cheating from past girlfriends which leaves me not trusting women.Love animals deeply, interested in all sorts don;t get too political.Decent guy not too far gone mentally, just cynical in some ways but still empathetic and kind for the most part.

Hello bathing

Thank you for your message. It sounds as if you know yourself well which is so helpful while trying to cope with all that comes along.

Do you have any medical support?

Sometimes just talking things through can be really helpful. If your trust issues are really deep you may want to consider speaking with a doctor or counsellor.

Our members may have more advice and help.

The topics and pinned posts may also have more information.

Do get back to us .

Our very best wishes

Hi Mas Nurse, you called me 'bathing' rofl that made me laugh I'm glad I could use a laugh more often lol :) At this ripe age yes I do know myself very well, but it's the issues I mentioned as well as some physical health problems that take me down.I don't find myself with more than one friend at this point in time, you get ill and experience mental health issues(even if I don't yell, get violent or cry in public) and your 'so called friends' all leave. It's a cycle in my life that never stops and I'm a loyal, non demanding friend. I don't have a counselor at this time he moved to Kitchener a month ago.Yes my trust issues are serious I want love as I hate being lonely, but my girl kicked me out once I became ill in 2014,I was stunned and devastated.Still trying to get over that it hurts.

Thanks for checking in on me.Be nice if I could meet some friends off this site in southern Canada, for coffee.I hardly get out.

Regards

BP :)

You seem to be managing your condition fine, most people go through life with periods of Depression, or Mental Health concerns. In life we all meet people and try to make out a relationship together, however sometimes these periods are like ships passing in the night. We see a relationship and no sooner there it has passed, and we then need to pick up the pieces on move on to a new harbour that appears given time. We then move on to pastures new. We need to allow ourselves time to find someone else.

When I was free and easy I always found this time of year was productive in finding someone else.

When it comes to illness we need confidence to deal with these problems, to dwell on something like this is just a waste of time, See your GP when you feel it is needed, however sometimes it is a good idea to try and heal yourself if at all possible.

We all need to move on past problems, life is a game we all play, try and be on top of your game, and learn as you move on

As the people on the site are from all over the world you are much more likely to find friends by joining a local support group.

I did try two local groups but they poor souls were so far gone that some could barely speak, almost catatonic.I'm a chatty personable type and I felt so bad for them that I couldn't go back,I hope that doesn't sound mean. Those sousls need more help than I I hope they are coping better.

Hello batphink

I am really sorry about using a wrong name for you, the predictive text is to blame.

I hope I got it right this time.

Apologies and best wishes

Consider Hobbies and diversions something like Night Classes, subjects you enjoy. That will help you meet people of your own interests and activities, if you like various types of music, look for centres who have those interests.

If you attend day centres, do some good, attend and have music days for the members, it will be something you enjoy and you will also be passing on your interests to others.

Generally in Mental Health Day Centres you will find people with health concerns like yours, members will generally give help and support

Hi Bob, I am a musician and play a few instruments ,was professional in the mid 80's for a few years lol. SO been around thousands of musicians, had very bad experience with many of them.I have maybe 5 I get along with, that shows how slimy musicians can be, I don't trust them or their motives, most in my experience are mercenaries and ruthless.I don't require a band to write my own music which I do a lot and it's that that keeps me going.

I know what you mean though you have to stay busy, stay occupied. Yeah maybe Night school in the spring....I need to find a mental health group with similar people....Thanks mate :)

Satsuma are you Japanese? I could be way off? I don't like being single to be honest except for the bit where I have no girlfriend yelling at me for spending too much time working on my music, lol

I will never allow a woman to stop me do that again in my life,if a girl want;s a relationship she will realize music is my first love and passion lol, thanks mate!
