I need help, before it's too late or I do something horrible to myself. Don't tell me that everything is going to be okay, because that's just you not wanting me to die but how is that good enough.

Hi Patricia, you seem very low in yourself have you got any helplines to ring and speak to someone who can help you , please get in touch with someone as I can see you need help x

If the problem is so bad and you feel your life is at risk, I would advise you contact NHS Information, Tel 111 they have extended their Service and can put you in contact with a Service that can help you in this difficult time. There is also a new leaflet available in some Surgeries that explain how to use the Service.
You can call Emergency Tel 999 they can help, if your condition is really life threatening.

Well can you get help? You don't have to tell your parents unless you want to unless you are a minor. If you are 18 or above anything you tell your doctor is confidential as you are legally an adult.
Make an appointment to see your doctor asap. x
Hello Patricia, There are people here who can help but we need to know more. Do you feel down because of an event or an experience; if you cannot point out a definite cause, how long have you felt this way? have you spoken to your GP? Have you spoken to anybody? We are encouraging you to talk, we are here because we will listen. If you feel in such pain that you cannot think straight and want to harm yourself as a relief because it would be something immediate and understandable, then please do contact one of the telephone services recommended here eg TALK. If you just feel completely alone and miserable with yourself ....talk. We will listen.
We don't want you to die because we know it isn't necessary ; that if you find a solution to the problem then you will not want to die. Please let us know what is the problem and why are feeling like this or better still if there is someone more local to you that you can talk to I urge you to confide in them over your feelings. The Samaritans on 116 123 will always answer you call. Gemma x
Hi Patricia,
Welcome to our supportive community. Well done for taking a brave step out to reach out for help. As you have begun to find folks here are only too willing to come alongside you and share from their personal journeys and experiences. I support the advice that they have already given to you.
I appreciate that you are a new member on the Shaw Mind Foundation, and may not be aware of the community rules and the wider impact of what you are saying. You are obviously going through a really difficult time right now, and we take everything you say very seriously. From my reading of your post, you are suggesting that you are considering self-harm or ending your life as strong possibility. We are definitely not into platitudes here. I would urge you to talk about your situation with a your doctor or mental health professional, so they can help you through this. Please bear in mind that this is an anonymous community and anonymous advice in this acute situation ,can make things worse, not better, and can also be a risk to other members of the community who may themselves be feeling quite vulnerable. This forum is no substitute for professional medical advice, no matter how well meaning.
Please review our Community Guidelines and Terms & Conditions (see Pinned Posts section) to help you think about the content and impact of your future posts. It is helpful for any future posts of this nature that you add to your post title **Trigger warning**., which I have added to your post on this occasion. We use this prefix in order to warn and respect other users that the content may cause distress to some folks here who like you are in a vulnerable place, to avoid your post.
