I get extremely paranoid before I go to bed or when I’m alone in a big room. I always check and make sure their isn’t anything there. I always keep a light on as well. Tonight I can’t seem to relax though. Any ideas?

Do you find meditating helps. There’s loads to choose from on YouTube, I tend to use the ones by Jason Stephenson or Michael sealey, I guess meditation is something that takes time to fully appreciate but it works for me....and breathing exercises...
Also maybe if you hadn’t spoke to dr, be worth mentioning it see what he or she suggests.
Take care 🌺🌺🌺

Try MINDFULNESS Relaxation Technique before sleep, you will find a book on Amazon that explains the technique to you, it will help you understand the best ways to control your fears
Consider supper two/three hours before bed, this will allow your tummy to empty before bed. If you are trying to digest food sleep can be hard.
Go to bed and get up at the same time each day, this allows for the body to get used to sleep and awake time.
The old way was to count sheep, for this you would never get a flock under the bed lol.
Try not reliving the day, consider positive thoughts, that should help
