Why do people talk to you for a long period of time and then leave you? Like make me waste my time for no reason?

Do you mean on here or in general ? It might be the same in both cases. A person could be very busy suddenly , or not feeling well, may be they can't think of anything to say to you. It might be more about them than about you.

I am sorry this has happed to you it is hurtful. Why they do it l have no idea it may be to do with them more than you. Still it does leave a person wondering why. If it is the case of just being extra busy could they not say so? Sorry you had to experience this.
