My Music
My music will tell you more about me than I ever will. Music is my life. That is why our hearts have beats. Sometimes music is the only thing that takes your mind off everything else. I can’t always explain how I feel, but I can find a song that can. Music is medicine.
When someone asks you to listen to a song, it’s because the lyrics mean everything they are trying to say. What comes easy won’t last long, and what lasts long won’t come easy.
The prettiest smile hides the deepest secrets. The prettiest eyes have cried the most tears. And the kindest hearts have felt the most pain. I’m at that point where I don’t even care if people like me anymore. If you like me, cool If you Don’t, Okay.
There are two different people you will meet in your life. One will run a finger down the index of you and jump straight to the parts of you that peak their interest. The other will take their time reading through every one of your chapters and maybe fold corners of you that inspired them the most. You will meet these two people; it is a given. It is the third that you will never see coming. That one person who not only finishes your sentences, but keeps the book.
As you are shifting, you will begin to realize that you are not the same person you used to be, the things you used to tolerate have now become intolerable. Where you once remained quiet, you are now speaking the truth. Where you once battles and argued, you are now choosing to remain silent. You are beginning to understand the value of your voice and there are some situations that no longer deserve your time, energy, and focus.
Never apologize for saying what you feel. That’s like saying sorry for being real. It’s not selfish to love yourself, take care of yourself and to make your happiness a priority. It’s necessary.
Happiness comes when we stop complaining about the troubles we have and offer thanks for all the troubles we don’t have. Sometimes music is the only medicine the heart and soul needs.
