Many thanks to all forum members who signed and shared our government petition to make mental health education compulsory in all schools.

We achieved over 103,000 signatures on our petition in just four short months.

I am now pleased to announce that the petition will be debated in parliament on 6th November!

If mental health education isn't compulsory, it ain't good enough. We won't let this government leave it for another generation to fix.

Come and join us on the 6th November for debate day, at the Houses of Parliament, followed by a Parli-Mental Party!

Visitors are welcome and we would love it if as many of you as possible could attend the debate, as well as any friends, family members and other contacts you may have! We are planning on having as many people as possible there in Westminster, and everyone is invited to join us for an evening in London after the debate. If you wish to attend, you must be at the Houses of Parliament no earlier than 3:30pm and no later that 4:10pm.

We are also calling upon you to email your local MP to show your support and also ask them to attend the debate as your MP. We have an email/letter template you can use should you wish - please email enquiries@shawmindfoundation.org with the title 'MP Email/Letter Template Request' and we will send it to you. If you want to find the email address of your local MP you can find out here parliament.uk/mps-lords-and...

The more pressure they have from the general public to be seen to support the cause, the better!
